I have a history of “food trucks” and good food in my family. My great grandmother made fried hand pies stuffed with fruit in Birmingham AL. She would set up her wagon that she pulled from home to the nearest factory and sold her pies to the employees. All of that to help her family. Fast forward to my mother. She was the queen of fried chicken on the south side of Chicago. So much so, her friends would buy a chicken and bring it to her then she would fry it for them. Fast forward to today, I fry just like my mother taught me. Over the years I have fried chicken for hundreds of people through Julita catering and overwhelming it’s a winner winner chicken dinner. This food truck will truly be a family affair, I just wish those ladies were here to see it all unfold.
